If you’ve visited Victoria, British Columbia, you know it’s among the most charming, beautiful cities in the world. Butchart Gardens just 30 minutes for the city, great history/natural history museum, especially strong on First Nations–and great food. Horse-drawn carriages are an elegant way to see the city but at $100 for 30 minutes a bit pricey. This work by horses has been controversial in some cities, but Victoria seems at peace with its four-legged workers.
