  • Howdy, I just finished a week-long visit to London, England, my first trip there. I love that city! It has vast green open spaces, public art & statuary everywhere, astounding museums (mostly free but leave a donation), and every kind of music, food, and entertainment one could imagine.

  • Besides reveling in the wonders of the city, I researched student field trip options for my summer 2013 study abroad course, “Horstory: Human-Horse Interactions since 4000 BCE. What a treasure trove of equestrian history and culture!

  • Of course, there’s more to London than equestrian statues. We enjoyed Evensong on Christmas Eve at Westminster Abbey, saw the delightful musical “Billy Elliott,” and savored all 6 of Bach’s Brandenburg concertos at venerable St. Martin in the Fields (1724).
